Works within the Network Team to plan, implement, and maintain network services for the University Libraries, supporting the computing requirements of approximately 300 library staff and a wide range of electronic services offered to library clientele
7 B, h% V" A! t+ B8 gResponsible for specialization in workstation image management v5 T4 b% N$ X; [( r
Responsible for system administration of assigned Windows 2000 servers
7 C7 ` \9 Q F0 kProvides help desk and on-call (after hours) support5 o3 Y$ V6 G. e
Works within the Web Team to implement and support web-based applications to provide access to library resources and services and web-based productivity applications for staff
4 r9 m! V+ }7 P" u7 bEdits and troubleshoots web content using Content Management System
9 {: r: z: w! J- [Develops programming using Cold Fusion and PHP8 O* j' H6 X0 [9 P3 s
Develops user interfaces using HTML, JavaScript and CSS
& y# q2 @3 f& d% j1 \( jDesigns, develops and implements MySQL relational databases( i' ~% S* p( K9 _5 z- b: l
Qualifications) R( [* Q& g! o1 R
Two year post-secondary diploma in a technology support program
8 k0 V4 M) e) g% w0 PRecent completion of Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer
/ e5 `6 Q/ h. C$ y% r* PMinimum three years experience working in a technology support group for a large corporate network with hands-on experience managing Windows 2000 servers and client workstations
/ g& r' j( k( A0 o7 U# a! P! jExperience implementing and supporting interactive web-based applications using web programming languages and middleware applications (including Cold Fusion, PHP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS and MySQL)

Ability to work independently and in a team environment and under pressure
