Job Description

' h. h0 `. a( l2 lFull time position (35 hours each week)

Job Description – Responsibilities
•        accountable for T.A.N.G. (Towards A Non-Violent Generation) youth program
6 i: d& e; i: l- u! C+ m•        writing final reports and assisting in grant proposals for future youth programs
. w* V7 r5 }, D# T•        supervising and recruiting volunteers for youth program
•        coordinate, develop and manage a summer youth program
; {+ a) J1 _- Y9 H9 B& G! o2 k•        liaison and working with community and community services providers to further develop youth and girls/women program
7 c! }8 h  U& R0 T: v•        train in areas of management, organization and fundraising
$ f( X( F5 X* w: G. L•        accountable for evaluation of all activities based on logic model
•        demonstrate team spirit in achieving visions and objectives of the Centre
. B0 m6 Y+ {' ]0 Q; h9 z  W•        participate in external committees, conferences and workshops for youth related issues
•        be open and willing to explore new ideas
•        assist with other activities/programs at the Centre
•        work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
; F) q2 ?% J6 J/ F6 W•        be energetic, enthusiastic and most importantly, sense of humor

Qualifications
" ?) a  Z" `/ @8 ]& ^6 b# d•        degree/diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or any other post secondary education with related work experience
•        good oral and written English, second Asian language an asset
# R! o4 ^0 @- x$ n! V  B" R•        experience in community work, supervising and managing youths, volunteers, immigrant related issues, experience or knowledge of crime prevention issues an asset
•        leadership skills, well organized, able to multi-task, good social skills, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
•        willingness to learn
