Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker; ]# r1 S. A$ _9 J2 w

Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. # ?. f* g3 h0 B( ?4 w9 H- b
|( |; a" ]8 S) e/ `" jKey Responsibilities:
% O- y/ A4 Z( H• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
2 |* h3 N6 Y+ P3 C• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
* A% q8 H2 m( E+ z6 Y+ ]. u% m• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately0 f- Q* A- ~) Q. w
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
1 A3 z/ U$ p6 P• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents7 h |' N3 r5 t
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker' l( l* F: D5 `
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events

• Keep the reception area tidy and clean" l9 p0 p$ P+ O
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters
( y, f$ p. O2 V1 l7 {+ P• Maintain front counter service files

• Report to ISP Program Manager; i2 K1 g( I- j$ f2 B& G

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:5 l6 t. P& k P* w* u
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person! G B; y% d, r: Z# A( b! _
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset

• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients( d% E5 V$ X; _- x7 q
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

8 n& e5 D+ |& B3 c$ u$ v• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience |* C+ T S, @4 g2 L5 C ?
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment3 a$ p7 m+ k3 ]# R
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
- r; Q% j' A! {- X• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
& T4 c+ ~6 P6 d# ` J* O2 [2 [5 _2 u4 j: b8 C2 S6 f$ Q
