5 c% k0 L$ E  }5 q$ _Location: The job is based in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, however frequent travel to project sites in various provinces of Canada is required.

7 _+ U; G; H/ E0 LResponsibilities and Tasks

+ N+ _3 H6 @- W5 f3 t- G-        Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment  
-        Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to determine layout requirements
* l7 i# c( Y5 F  b" n9 p5 j1 n3 Z# k-        Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
-        Select type and size of pipe required
6 @# O# }* _5 W& G-        Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools
-        Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system
& x2 N. W  G% [6 v$ \# o-        Install supports, valves, piping and control systems
-        Test system for leaks using testing equipment
-        Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system
-        Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system
% I! s* ~" Z- O-        Actively participate in the Iyinisiw safety program
-        Other tasks related to pipefitting as may be required during the course of business

Required Qualifications

-        Completion of secondary school
7 O8 @! u0 z4 w1 i" \5 s% g7 c/ o-        Completion of formal Apprenticeship Program of four- to five-years or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in pipefitting system installation
  ]4 p( Z, d, N1 s-        Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
-        Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
-        Pipefitter trade certification is considered an asset
- P9 g+ q, x8 v+ p9 [6 d: Y) x+ D-        Safety tickets are considered an asset
) k1 y/ W+ m* i( S* M1 u-        Valid drivers’ license is an asset
-        Interprovincial Red Seal is an asset
