Works within the Network Team to plan, implement, and maintain network services for the University Libraries, supporting the computing requirements of approximately 300 library staff and a wide range of electronic services offered to library clientele
/ T3 N$ x: t/ wResponsible for specialization in workstation image management# n& n/ ~5 o( i3 |- p! K" F' |
Responsible for system administration of assigned Windows 2000 servers# \9 n) v5 R( S9 o& [
Provides help desk and on-call (after hours) support
$ N( H0 i/ N: S3 _Works within the Web Team to implement and support web-based applications to provide access to library resources and services and web-based productivity applications for staff1 `/ c- @, D3 ]$ d5 C+ g
Edits and troubleshoots web content using Content Management System
7 T" n2 P! B1 \" k! ~7 A$ ^0 DDevelops programming using Cold Fusion and PHP
" z1 Z; e2 j7 mDevelops user interfaces using HTML, JavaScript and CSS
K2 D" _- c7 NDesigns, develops and implements MySQL relational databases* T3 c, f# w: D( W& i+ x8 g
Qualifications
+ n9 C9 I* O1 z0 wTwo year post-secondary diploma in a technology support program
/ n8 S7 ^' u. e( f2 ^" bRecent completion of Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer
. O4 S" L0 f* |8 OMinimum three years experience working in a technology support group for a large corporate network with hands-on experience managing Windows 2000 servers and client workstations
. k" O" R% T, S- M* I' K/ dExperience implementing and supporting interactive web-based applications using web programming languages and middleware applications (including Cold Fusion, PHP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS and MySQL)

Ability to work independently and in a team environment and under pressure
