1 ~  A2 K. L4 v2 }) {; h$ t$ UIntegrated Employability Skills Training gives immigrants the essential
skills needed for success in the Alberta workplace. This 5-month funded
4 X; }8 A& D5 S  Yprogram combines classroom-based training with work site visits and work
- `( F3 G6 G# S$ p- L# O8 P# K" Rexperience placements in high-demand semi-skilled occupations, such as
; m$ |  z  P4 P, M0 z% nwarehousing, customer service, hospitality, healthcare support, food
services and others.

Candidate Profile:

; \% p0 t/ q; hCandidates for this funded program must be landed immigrants, Canadian
- h5 n3 @5 \/ M! G- L. D4 ocitizens or refugees who are eligible to work in Canada and who have:
; }8 }1 E; A) x+ A5 M*        English communication skills in the 4 - 6 range on CLB
*        Basic literacy and numeracy skills and some secondary or post-
* J3 S8 D7 N' B0 v5 k! vsecondary education
*        A genuine interest in finding permanent employment in a high-demand
2 F, m% ?  K% f, B. Roccupation
*        Availability to study fulltime for 5 months and then be employed
*        Willingness to commit to a program and future job
*        Resided in Alberta for the past 3 months

field trips

) c5 o$ ~4 @* ^, K        *        Increase computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
- v$ d0 c8 {! [( X: LInternet, etc.)
        *        Write a winning resume and improve interview skills
        *        Get First Aid/CPR and WHMIS certificates
# C2 l& ~3 Q4 _        *        Take advantage of one-on-one employment counseling
* J, w7 G1 O6 m1 {                        *        1 month work-experience placement
