MECHANICAL DESIGNER(HVAC)

Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
        Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
+ m1 \! w6 x5 B, g( U        Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
        Research and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
        Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

QUALIFICATIONS:
& _9 R4 J4 ]( f8 d4 B8 u" q•        Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
5 E" y3 R6 X; o& C3 D' F•        Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for    residential or commercial buildings
•        Minimum 5 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
•        Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
# y' q* M9 `! O: v  `4 F( R( ^•        Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process
7 S% ?) R7 V6 B& b•        Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
5 q" ~2 `1 E, R  d1 ?•        Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
•        Ability to communicate with all levels of management
•        Ability to work independently as well as in a team
