Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. $ x9 D! 6 ]) W: m+ n$ V• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
3 C* J, i5 ~6 {9 \# t% f• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
+ G5 q3 O/ ?5 {" G) c, d3 H• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately$ z3 F. E" X/ w& U0 F$ d% }% M8 C
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
6 z& t* A: d/ |, V# K& p& P' e0 }• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents! w6 x$ f7 k) y6 I7 H
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
) M {( Q; q- X: S* y• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
' h) k2 N: L2 }2 d" }0 f• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events8 t# }' T; G5 h* C0 T' I
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean

5 P- ?. T8 y3 b& C8 S• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person9 E' ]0 V+ p" e% ^ c3 h
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
$ u2 C4 q( ]# W4 [/ `) T• Good English writing and oral communication skills& c$ a% H+ c& |3 G) f
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients, U m. ~/ y7 s% _# e# Y5 q/ i2 H# |
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook& `$ {& W; s; B9 j2 _ f
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately ! a4 Z+ d+ \" G
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

• Knowledge of immigrant services E0 v1 {" k A! f8 v2 G

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience

• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism3 ] x. }! {3 R) P' ^4 z2 Y
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision2 @& s4 r* j7 l& z2 L5 ~! L
