3 b6 q) {/ s) s+ Q& iPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

9 q# V5 D- v, b5 _4 k( T' b% R& R3 {; U• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
( s( ]; V% m F2 U) F4 ^• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
! r* G! B3 I2 f• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately2 _+ ^- \4 A) L) _( d; X( x3 q
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
' }& ~7 J1 `1 h; l: ` T8 o! Q• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
5 t1 s; o3 M; C- E! e• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
$ J. q" \' V J% C7 O• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events* J( }. D: T! t/ e) i
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events
/ F o* R5 N3 \. o• Keep the reception area tidy and clean( y0 m1 Y# Y# _8 z6 J+ D1 a5 k
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters {4 y' \! I F
• Maintain front counter service files% H0 e/ B) W: d3 K! A9 p& @
• Perform general office duties as assigned3 b# a& J6 w9 F- X2 t

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:5 Z. Q( I! I/ d; ~
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person( O0 k) m$ S" F/ V; d7 H1 F. V( t
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset* F) N Q* v4 B& Q) h s6 n W! _
• Good English writing and oral communication skills6 J- O& T3 e! U2 ^, l
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients* d1 p0 A7 k" r* B: `' @" G" J
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook/ v& z# }8 T. Q2 ?8 w
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately

• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment

Qualifications: u4 G$ W3 _4 Y. k# m- F
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience 3 E6 v% G l1 G9 e+ o4 f
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
+ \; f- ^$ d9 ?; [• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
