5 o& {! l" D% b! `5 F; ]Responsibilities and Tasks

-        Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications
-        Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), plasma arc welding (PAW), shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), oxy-acetylene welding (OAW), resistance welding and submerged arc welding (SAW)
3 a3 m. D( w. l3 u/ Q-        Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
) B7 o6 J  V) ?1 B-        Operate brazing and soldering equipment
-        Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears and other metal straightening and bending machines
  w! S" U, i! Q! k-        Repair worn parts of metal products by welding on extra layers
-        Actively participate in the Iyinisiw safety program
9 j5 g- O/ |- x2 |0 N) v-        Other tasks related to welding as may be required during the course of business

Required Qualifications
* k& g! }7 n( e# y3 d; P-        Completion of secondary school
3 x. J4 Q; L2 G-        A minimum of 5 years’ work experience as an industrial Welder
-        Basic English communication skills
-        Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
: @* x5 z# n" g+ j. z3 W1 n0 }-        Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
) [0 b1 G8 }% p% r4 i6 d# ]; a, M6 t-        Welder trade certification is considered an asset
5 M% [3 G0 q# y# Y/ N) T# m-        Interprovincial Red Seal is an asset
