Location: The job is based in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, however frequent travel to project sites in various provinces of Canada is required.+ h2 d# ], b, T  ^- J

Compensation: $34.50/h, pension and health benefits

) I2 |5 K2 `! M8 C! p4 ^-        Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables or study sample parts to determine machining operation to be performed, and plan best sequence of operations! ~# v% `4 }, ]
-        Compute dimensions and tolerances and measure and lay out work pieces
- U& \0 Q* {/ o7 C6 T% u2 e9 _* s-        Set up, operate and maintain a variety of machine tools including computer numerically controlled (CNC) tools to perform precision, non-repetitive machining operations such as sawing, turning, milling, boring, planing, drilling, precision grinding and other operations
, ^; r' D' |* h* Y  t% F-        Cut, bend, roll, ream, punch, drill, weld or otherwise shape and form metal stock into parts or products
2 H1 w6 A! g7 v-        Operate machines or equipment which weld, solder, bolt, screw or rivet metal parts together
! i0 d5 O. [" @) x+ z-        Fit and assemble machined metal parts and subassemblies using hand and power tools
9 X/ @8 _% h) a: G, F, s" h-        Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments

-        Clean, lubricate and maintain equipment and replacement parts as required

1 F7 C4 I% }4 p  t$ Q- Q; V-        Completion of secondary school or a minimum of eight years work experience
+ x: ?) ]: z% |: }. z" S0 J5 [, v-        Completion of a four-year apprenticeship or training program or a combination of over four years of work experience in the trade and some college or industry courses in machining ; x9 W* b& l8 \1 z- W: N0 H8 S
-        Skills in programming, set up, operation and maintenance of machine tools
, }" A) N! i; W-        Proficiency reading, interpreting and identifying errors on shop drawings; @$ L: c1 l) R. k; E6 a: O# g
-        A strong understanding of computer assisted drafting and manufacturing principles
: }) S. i8 P: W& f: M-        Able to work with fine tolerances and use a wide variety of measuring equipment " U8 V7 F; J# C
-        Basic English communication skills; r& K4 k/ r5 V) W) M
-        Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals! R( g, I+ t; C3 K* P
-        Ability to write routine reports and correspondence8 J* a) e( @; S2 F4 ^- S* e
-        Trade certification for machinists is an asset
