Any input on Cutler-Hammer Starter?

3 |' s0 |$ V2 J. p# w) Z( B After start 2-3 times, they will quit working, if you toggle the  start and stop buttons on DCS screen  , you will get another 2-3 running before they quit working again.
It is a cycle.

3 }1 G, H  v% {) K/ n& \2 w$ ~We isolate the network control and use the local start and stop only, the problem remains.
. d% y6 ]  N7 C3 Z- g3 ^  X' J) KSwap one of the defective buckets with a good one, the new bucket works fine.
The problem should be inside the bucket.

When the problem happened, we observed that  the contactor has a pulling action but will not seal.
8 ^$ K' f8 N1 t" g- f* LUse a terminating screw divers to push in the contactor, it will not seal either.
$ E4 u1 i2 `8 [  [- ^  HConfirm with TECH support this should be a problem with the control circuit board inside the advantage starter, we  bought two new control circuit boards and replaced the old ones, the problem is still the same.
; b0 E5 v  h' l! G* S5 g7 x( L& J
The next thing we can think of  is the coil, we took the coil out to have a close look.
They  have a fork to pinch inside the two leads to make connection, it is not a good design at all. We soldered  the connection and tried again.
7 Y' ]0 y) [6 r$ N: L It is getting better  this time, we have 7-8 times of running before it quit working.

The coil should be the problem, we ordered two of them. But it will take 5-6 weeks for us to get them.

Don't know cutler –hammer advantage  starters very well, but had been worked on AB switch gears for a little while, which has two different coils, one to pull the vacum bottles up which employs larger current, another one uses less current to hold the connection---if the second coil fails, it won't be able to seal the connection.
  N  _7 y: \2 v/ W' K3 ?Since your cutler -hammer works couple times,  I guess 侠客行 is right, or the sealing connection is just worn out.
