Job Description
: L  P( {' S/ BPosition: Youth Services Manager

( X6 C7 z& f8 V$ t& \9 l% G/ HJob Description – Responsibilities
# A# `; R" [( [$ \1 M•        accountable for T.A.N.G. (Towards A Non-Violent Generation) youth program
! C/ g  C  W) v' w" [•        writing final reports and assisting in grant proposals for future youth programs
•        supervising and recruiting volunteers for youth program
•        coordinate, develop and manage a summer youth program
•        liaison and working with community and community services providers to further develop youth and girls/women program
•        train in areas of management, organization and fundraising
•        accountable for evaluation of all activities based on logic model
4 @0 i8 w$ g+ T" R! T+ z•        demonstrate team spirit in achieving visions and objectives of the Centre
•        participate in external committees, conferences and workshops for youth related issues
•        be open and willing to explore new ideas
•        assist with other activities/programs at the Centre
•        work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
$ x. R: H0 L; w' _- M•        be energetic, enthusiastic and most importantly, sense of humor

Qualifications
& e5 j7 u1 w$ H6 v* ~, B' h0 q+ {7 Q•        degree/diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or any other post secondary education with related work experience
•        good oral and written English, second Asian language an asset
•        experience in community work, supervising and managing youths, volunteers, immigrant related issues, experience or knowledge of crime prevention issues an asset
•        leadership skills, well organized, able to multi-task, good social skills, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
•        willingness to learn
