My personal experience shows that be confident is the first key to success, the second would be English.

A lot of new immigrant that over estimate the difficulty of finding their professional job, so in turn they hide in the university or sink into the labor market. neither way will lead them to success.

for new immigrant there are a lot to learn in terms of jub hunting skills, take your time, be prepared and conquer!.
