ASSIST

Position Title: Outreach Worker
Hours of Work: Full time (35 hours per week)

Job Description
-        promote the Centre and ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information
, O1 i& W7 Y+ z/ k* ]-        promote Centre and ISP programs  in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.
-        develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP and Centre
-        recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members
-        promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
: F% }+ B& \; f# l6 @: H1 o! ?+ u-        outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
-        attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants
' Z, e6 e2 j8 Y. L-        adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals
-        report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.
-        recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities
-        assist with front counter services as needed and assigned
-        other duties as assigned

Qualifications
-        degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered
' G* D9 f9 r1 X2 G9 Q, [-        knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available
-        good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software
-        fluent in English and Chinese
