Responsibilities:
7 Q5 }7 `2 D" Q3 C7 D0 k- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth) Y: k, w, E2 E8 _$ Q) G3 h, }
- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
! H. B. o o0 f# h$ g1 ?/ G1 W5 S' ]+ y7 i- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
1 e: g d2 s- v$ y- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs: j% R! l/ b; g
- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health1 y9 o9 }+ c) [4 U

. O4 V! h. g. {; t" a* M, W6 b) a' Q2 xKey Qualifications:
; b* V0 z* o5 u F) X- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences( a6 v5 U7 b* w
- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
5 t U6 b5 x9 W9 v- f! w" W- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
3 C9 ?) `- h& {- Experience doing program development
% P5 K4 B1 w. `! Z- Strong organizational and coordination skills
+ y T0 P# L' ~, N" ^- Self-directed and able to take initiative8 c3 X, d8 m; k. Q; ~
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
* Z5 I& y3 p p4 j( Z% R. y3 k- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license4 g- y& S: X% @* {! Z

- Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation8 N/ {# O9 A) r) A
- Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities
