Alberta Infrastructure & Transportation , Red Deer - Here is an opportunity to put your innovative engineering expertise into operation! You will take a lead role to administer the highway maintenance program for one of the largest stretches of highway in the Province. Under the direction of the Operations Manager, you will be responsible to provide front line operations engineering Supervision and Administration of provincial highway maintenance and operations for the Red Deer District. Your primary responsibilities will include the delivery of the highway maintenance program, administration of the highway maintenance contract and administration of roadside development control. Your strong administrative skills and innovativeness will ensure you maintain operations within allocated budgets, and work successfully with Community Development and Alberta Environment to develop programs that deliver Parks and Water Infrastructure maintenance programs through the highway maintenance contract and other service agreements. Your excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, will be the basis for dealing with contractors, consultants, municipalities, staff and the public.

C% a4 i$ V$ B( U5 c: IQualifications: A BSc. in Civil Engineering with eligibility for membership in APEGGA plus considerable experience in highway construction, maintenance and contract administration/monitoring is required. Experience in an NT computer environment utilizing the MS office suite of products is essential. A valid Alberta Class 5 drivers license is required for travel. Candidates may be asked to provide evidence of Provincial Engineering Association membership to qualify for an interview. Candidates with lesser-related experience may be considered at a lower classification and salary range. Salary: $58,908 - $81,564 Closing Date: September 23, 2005.
