" B5 Z7 _0 S0 g Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
; n9 y5 a& G2 h( L/ i( z# t; H Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
/ \# `5 t; |  h* |" w2 R* B Completing required paperwork.
# B7 l2 q; ~7 l! E- ^. e0 ] Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
. j- M9 i9 ]5 {7 A  R Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
# l, F  k$ y9 _3 ]6 ^$ S" S Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
, r% f- o2 [6 ]" d+ b Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
' n0 O2 `2 L4 o# _1 X3 a5 C7 a; w4 y Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.


Qualifications:

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
# [8 p- H- G% B, k Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
2 ]' t1 c# T! u2 ]0 [ Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
9 A5 t- M/ G2 I Knowledge of community resources.
; _, A, T$ x- R; m6 G6 m. t5 R4 C2 \ Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
# r0 E) }, h3 U4 N Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

) w5 M4 D- i! w) h, b9 C3 VThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
) x; U( V! P, \6 ostarting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
