The Heavy Oil and Oil Sands (HOOS) business unit develops products and processes that improve heavy oil and bitumen recovery from reservoirs and mining operations, bitumen upgrading, and production engineering, thereby delivering significant commercial and environmental benefits to industry. We require an experienced administrative assistant to support our experimental research and engineering team.

•        Coordinating travel and meeting arrangements
, z. q. }+ j( D) z* Q" B•        Ordering and maintaining supply inventory
% r9 f& x8 F4 [+ l5 k! o) Q( S•        Maintaining equipment , R; ]: G& ~, C9 b4 L
•        Assistance with event planning
8 ?  Y4 m: A- r7 x7 x3 r) @4 p•        Filing, faxing, photocopying

This position requires a creative, self-motivated individual whose strengths include the ability to multi-task, work independently and deliver on time.  Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships both within the group and with external clients are important to this role.  Intermediate Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook skills

0 U; y; m8 L5 Y) l; rCandidates should have minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative role.  A combination of education and/or experience may be considered.

This position is included in the bargaining unit.  Hourly wage will determined by qualifications and experience. Final candidate will be required to undergo a security clearance." u% l5 ^6 V/ R8 J
