Job Description
0 J3 B/ ^, z  g& S' n- promote the Centre’s ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information
- promote ISP in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.
-  develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP
- provide support to ISP staff
- recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members
' a- K3 }7 w' |0 C8 y- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
6 T# ]5 h6 h5 {9 C4 Z- outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
" o* l0 V' G$ a8 z* O- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants
- adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals
( u$ @  i' a" X& i5 B$ t8 H- fulfill the goals and objectives of ISP as contracted by funder
: w5 c7 ~. ~% h4 W7 ~/ g- report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.
- recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities
- assist with front counter services as needed and assigned
$ z6 p$ h$ H9 E0 Q. l- other duties as assigned

0 _  {7 \6 B& M  w# k2 QQualifications
8 A7 ?" C& A- T3 A" D- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered
+ v1 |, e, e+ @3 H8 J9 I- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available
- experience in working with community groups and community liaison workers
- good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software
- speak & write Chinese (fluent in Mandarin preferred)
1 h& x2 S7 U: t& d1 i( E- good interpersonal and people skills
; F5 ?# U; A. m: j- good organizational and coordination skills
- valid driver’s license

- must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

Salary
- $12/hr for 17.5hours/week, April 18 to March 31, 2007
