Hours of Work: 17.5 hours per week

- submit information for community news # ?( X6 j4 [! m7 q, T
- provide volunteers to update membership database
. P4 z9 |- I' D- N- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers# A' V( e) s' T
- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties9 n. _% D6 a6 }" g8 B
- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties. n1 B0 l* E4 I: l
- provide volunteers for various programs
" L2 \0 r$ M% R+ s) ]- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual: y! H4 q, j1 `: K' ?# R
- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation+ ]" j- f( `! ^
- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities
1 m) L3 }9 q4 c- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services( B" E+ D. x/ O" ^- ~
- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports4 d# G, S3 |' |* V
- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed/ L2 m5 o& g- e" ~
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed
& |! g' ^) [% j6 y' }- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)
4 ]0 n% s5 O, X8 z: o P3 P/ i- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events # o; L. x D, _+ B7 h
- development and distribution of a volunteer manual / o8 l* m$ O" X: ^$ V% p- [
- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers

- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre

- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education
, s6 D: C$ L. v2 O- good oral and written Chinese and English skills' }4 @( w( Y# H1 k# L) N6 `
- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services; L$ r' j% ?$ r' @! @6 R
- leadership skills
