. u$ ~8 O3 s$ o/ x( }Location: The job is based in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, however frequent travel to project sites in various provinces of Canada is required.

Responsibilities and Tasks

! Y* m  `" d8 U; X7 _4 I-        Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment  
6 p+ a: w- `% e% b0 F-        Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to determine layout requirements
8 W+ c6 z1 b- }0 b8 b7 w5 Z-        Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
% S5 D, D; c( S" K, Y+ f! G3 `, e-        Select type and size of pipe required
-        Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools
-        Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system
-        Install supports, valves, piping and control systems
-        Test system for leaks using testing equipment
) [; R8 r  k/ ^( q' K-        Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system
-        Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system
! }0 b  ^* |5 E0 h+ s9 v-        Actively participate in the Iyinisiw safety program
  n, W5 n; N6 m# t# e: t9 k: l-        Other tasks related to pipefitting as may be required during the course of business

# t5 x, _4 I: {( d
-        Completion of secondary school
4 b* H- l- ]# Y0 X-        Completion of formal Apprenticeship Program of four- to five-years or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in pipefitting system installation
-        Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
! p- j. x7 |3 Z8 U% s" V# e. q-        Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
1 Q/ L( m9 X: U/ t/ S-        Pipefitter trade certification is considered an asset
; l: `  t- x- t% t-        Safety tickets are considered an asset
& P+ S- F3 r  j8 Y) X# W7 d-        Valid drivers’ license is an asset
) D; Y8 J5 o% j9 M0 G1 |-        Interprovincial Red Seal is an asset
